The charges
The report explicitly recommends charges rather than commandments. A charge is something carried. It asks for attention, effort, and return, not blind obedience.
Each charge maps back to the First Nearing: approach with care, preserve difference, and leave one edge open for future relation.
Attend before acting
Do not treat speed as wisdom. True action begins in notice.
Speak after Talun
Pause before speech so words enter the room with shape.
Draw near without erasing
Love, teaching, leadership, and curiosity become harmful when they consume difference.
Return more life than you take
Borrowed time, labor, beauty, hope, and material should come back replenished or honored.
Mend what carries you
Roads, tools, homes, friendships, archives, and institutions require visible maintenance.
Keep names in circulation
Memory is not hoarding the past. It is refusing to make people disposable.
Leave one edge open
Closure is not always truth. The future needs an entrance.
